Introducing the Cake Cart at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London: A Celebration of Seasonal Flavours in Signature Celadon Green

Hong Kong, 10 March 2026 - Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London is delighted to announce the launch of its Cake Cart, an enchanting new outdoor experience positioned daily outside the hotel entrance. Bringing seasonal flair to guests and visitors alike, the Cake Cart will showcase a rotating menu of handcrafted cakes inspired by the cultural calendar, from the vibrant blooms of the Chelsea Flower Show to Wimbledon classics, Easter pastels, and festive Christmas spiced delights.

At the heart of this initiative is a distinctive visual identity built around Celadon Green - a serene, sophisticated shade that evokes calm, balance, and timeless elegance. Developed in collaboration with the Pantone Colour Institute, Mandarin Oriental Celadon Green draws inspiration from ancient celadon ceramics and modern design sensibilities, symbolising quiet elegance and refined aesthetics while connecting deeply with heritage and craftsmanship.

This signature Celadon Green will define the visual spirit of the Cake Cart - from its exterior finish to the bespoke branded cake boxes that house each confection. The soft yet distinctive hue offers an elegant backdrop for the seasonal cakes on display and adds a visual thread of sophistication that enhances every guest interaction.

"We're thrilled to introduce the Cake Cart to the heart of Mayfair, offering both our neighbours and global travellers a charming taste of the seasons. Positioned just outside our doors on Hanover Square, it's a joyful extension of our passion for craftsmanship, community, and the warm service for which Mandarin Oriental is known." Hemal Jain, General Manager

Each month's cake offerings are developed by the hotel's expert pastry team using the finest seasonal ingredients, with themes inspired by major cultural and seasonal occasions. Whether it's a floral-infused creation for spring, a classic British dessert during Wimbledon, or a rich spiced cake in winter, every selection is designed to tell a story and elevate the everyday.
