Citizens Bank & Trust continued to grow both deposit dollars and deposit market share across every county in which it operates, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's (FDIC) recently released 2026 Summary of Deposits data.

The results reflect continued, managed growth for the community bank and an ongoing emphasis on building strong relationships with the individuals and businesses in the communities it serves.

In Marshall County, Citizens continues to hold the leading deposit market share. As of June 30, 2026, the bank held approximately $835.5 million in Marshall County deposits, representing 29.76% of deposits reported in the county. That compares with approximately $768.2 million and 27.1% in 2025.

Citizens added approximately $67 million in Marshall County deposits year over year, further strengthening its position as the county's deposit market share leader.

"Growth is meaningful when it comes from earning the trust of the people and businesses we serve," said Charlie Williams, CEO of Citizens Bank & Trust. "I'm incredibly proud of our bankers and the relationships we continue to build. We have remained focused on building strong relationships, taking care of our customers, and making decisions with the long-term strength of our communities in mind. We are grateful for the confidence our customers continue to place in our team."

That growth extended beyond the Marshall County market. Citizens increased deposits and market share in Marshall, Jackson, Madison, Cullman, Lauderdale and Limestone counties during the reporting period.

In Jackson County, deposits grew by approximately $16 million. Citizens also added approximately $13 million in Cullman County, $6 million in Madison County, $4 million in Lauderdale County and $1.5 million in Limestone County. The gains occurred across markets experiencing different deposit trends.

For Citizens Bank & Trust, deposits are an important part of fulfilling its role as a community bank. Deposits entrusted to Citizens provide resources that can be put back to work helping meet the credit needs of local families and businesses.

As a locally owned and operated bank, Citizens remains focused on lending deposit dollars back into the communities it serves, helping finance homes, providing for growing or expanding businesses, and investing in other avenues that support local economic activity.

"Our customers entrust us with their deposits, and we have the opportunity to put those dollars back to work in the same communities," Williams said. "That connection between deposits, lending, and strong local relationships is the very heart of community banking."

Citizens Bank & Trust remains focused on building loyal relationships, meeting the credit needs of its communities, and pursuing responsible, managed growth that supports its ability to serve customers for the long term.

The FDIC Summary of Deposits is an annual survey of deposits held at branch offices of FDIC-insured institutions as of June 30.
