(Lafayette, Tenn., October X, 2026) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development announced $31.2 million in Community Facilities Direct Loan funding to support healthcare upgrades in rural Tennessee. The investment will finance the construction of a new 27,770 square-foot medical office building and remodel 25 semi-private patient rooms into private rooms.
These improvements will expand access to essential health and wellness services for residents in the greater Lafayette area.
"Under the leadership of President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, USDA Rural Development delivers investments that bring renewed prosperity and opportunity to rural Tennessee," said Rural Housing Service Administrator George Kelly.
USDA Rural Development administers this funding through the Community Facilities Direct Loan Program , which provides affordable financing to develop essential community facilities in rural areas.
