Intersection to Close at South Boulder Avenue, West 7th Street for Construction of Skybridge Beginning Monday

Beginning Monday, August 24, the intersection of South Boulder Avenue and West 7th Street will be closed to traffic as Oklahoma Natural Gas begins construction of a new parking garage and skybridge in Downtown Tulsa.

The new parking garage will be constructed on the southeast corner of West 7th Street and South Boulder Avenue and the skybridge will connect the new garage to the existing parking garage on the northwest corner of the intersection. The project is part of Oklahoma Natural Gas' continued investment in Downtown Tulsa as the company brings approximately 1,000 new jobs to the area.

The full intersection closure is required for crews to safely install the new skybridge. Due to the construction methods and equipment needed for the work, closing the entire intersection will help protect drivers, pedestrians and construction crews.

The intersection will remain closed until January of 2027. During this time, drivers are encouraged to use caution, follow all posted traffic signage, and allow extra time when traveling around the work zone.
