On January 14, 2026, Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan, as part of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Minister Konaković emphasized the importance of strengthening the political and diplomatic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Jordan. He highlighted the significance of high-level visit exchanges and the continuation of consultations between their respective ministries of foreign affairs. Minister Konaković also extended an invitation to Minister Safadi to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Minister provided an update on the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, discussing political and economic reforms as well as the country's foreign policy, relations with neighbouring nations, and progress toward European Union membership and NATO cooperation.
In response, Minister Safadi expressed Jordan's appreciation for the reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and reiterated Jordan's support for its path toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration. He also affirmed Jordan's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote regional stability and peace.
At the conclusion of their conversation, the interlocutors expressed their readiness for further development of bilateral cooperation and active participation in international initiatives and forums that foster dialogue and stability.
