Call now open for catalyst fund project proposals!

Engage 2, the knowledge transfer network of the SESAR JU, has launched its latest call for proposals. Submissions are open until 2 February 2026.

The catalyst funds aim to strengthen collaboration between industry and researchers during early-stage concept development. By providing financial support and access to industrial environments, the initiative seeks to advance innovative ideas to higher maturity levels.

Proposals must showcase original contributions to the state of the art and can address either thematic challenges or be "open" in scope. Applications are welcome from single entities or consortia of two to four organisations based in eligible countries.

An awards board will evaluate and select projects. Those funded in the first call may also receive additional support in the second call, with a maximum total of EUR 60,000 per entity.

Each project will run for up to 12 months and must conclude with a final technical report.
