More than 120 high school students attended the Western Maryland Credit Union Reality Fair, where they gained hands-on experience with budgeting, managing expenses, and making real-world financial decisions.
Hosted by the Western Maryland Chapter in partnership with the Association and the Credit Union Foundation MD|DC|DE, the Reality Fair provided students with an interactive opportunity to explore the financial responsibilities they may face in adulthood.
During the simulation, students learned to manage a budget, prioritize essential expenses, and make spending decisions based on their available income. The experience helped reinforce the importance of financial responsibility and making informed choices.
Thank you to our volunteers from ACT 1st Federal Credit Union, Chessie Federal Credit Union, Romney Federal Credit Union, and WEPCO Federal Credit Union for helping make this event a success!
