On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, investigators conducted an interdiction operation in Troutdale. During the mission, detectives seized 13 pounds of methamphetamine and identified several individuals believed to be connected to multi-state drug trafficking organizations. The investigation remains active.

On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, investigators conducted an operation in the 9800 block of Southeast Washington Street. The mission resulted in the seizure of approximately 328 grams of fentanyl and $1,270 in cash. One individual, who is not being identified due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, was arrested on drug-related charges.

Later that day, investigators conducted a second operation in the area of Southeast 33rd Avenue and Southeast Oak Street and arrested one person on drug-related charges. A search of the suspect's vehicle yielded approximately 1,141.2 grams (2.5 pounds) of fentanyl, 45.2 grams of heroin, and $1,650 in cash.

"Every gram of fentanyl removed from our community represents lives potentially saved," PPB Chief Bob Day said. "These investigations reflect the dedication of our NOC Unit to holding drug traffickers accountable while disrupting the flow of dangerous drugs into our neighborhoods."

All three investigations are ongoing, and additional arrests or charges are possible.
