LOS ANGELES - Today, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce announced its new headquarters will be established in the U.S. Bank Tower in Downtown L.A. The move marks a significant step in the ongoing Downtown revitalization under Mayor Bass' leadership.
The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce has formalized a long-term lease for 11,411 square feet on the 32nd floor and anticipates relocating to the new offices in mid-2027. Silverstein Properties has announced several new and expanding tenants in its newest leasing announcement for the iconic Tower.
"For nearly 140 years, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce has been a catalyst of economic opportunity, driving investments that create good-paying jobs for Angelenos," said Mayor Bass. "Their decision to move their headquarters to the U.S. Bank Tower is a powerful step forward in our comprehensive efforts to revitalize Downtown as the civic, cultural, and economic heart of our city. I'm proud to welcome the Chamber to their new home in Downtown L.A. and I look forward to building on this momentum together."
"As the voice of business in Los Angeles for nearly 140 years, we believe in showing up for the places and people we represent," said Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. "Our move to the U.S. Bank Tower is an investment in Downtown Los Angeles and in the future of our organization. We want our headquarters to reflect the modern, connected and globally focused Chamber we are building, while placing us at the center of the work ahead."
"This is an important moment for Los Angeles. As our region prepares to welcome the world, the Chamber has been steadfast in doing its part to ensure Los Angeles is ready to seize this once-in-a-generation opportunity," said Andy Park, Board Chair of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and Office Managing Partner, EY. "This move shows we're all in for Los Angeles. The Board strongly supports this investment in the Chamber's future in the heart of the city."
"This move represents an important milestone in the Chamber's continued evolution," said George L. Pla, Immediate Past Chair of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and President & CEO, Cordoba Corporation. "It builds on the Chamber's deep legacy in Los Angeles and reflects our trust in the future of Downtown. From this iconic location, the Chamber will have an even greater opportunity to showcase our city as we convene business and civic leaders, strengthen partnerships and advance economic opportunity across the region."
The move comes as Mayor Bass pushes a community-led, comprehensive Downtown Los Angeles Revitalization Plan that encompasses public safety, public infrastructure, activating storefronts, and boosting neighborhood economic activity, including:
Finalizing the approval of the expansion and modernization of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Eighteen conferences have already signed up to use the new event space, estimated to bring more than 186,000 visitors Downtown and generate more than $400 million in economic impact for Los Angeles.
Launching the City's first Vacant to Vibrant Program to turn empty storefronts into thriving small businesses that will drive foot traffic to the Downtown area.
Creating the first Mayor's Office Downtown L.A. Working Group, bringing together DTLA business leaders, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), Resident & Neighborhood Associations, and more to create actionable, community-led solutions.
Using her power as Metro Board Chair, in partnership with Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins, to deploy Metro Ambassadors at Pershing Square Metro Station up to five days a week, increasing ride safety and confidence.

Instructing the LAPD to increase visible foot beats in the Jewelry District and the Pershing Square area. This comes as LAPD has already increased the presence of patrol cars, horse patrols, foot patrols, and undercover units at the direction of Mayor Bass in Downtown.
