Construction of a new cement plant begins in the village of Kharangon, Varzob district

On June 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, launched construction work at the cement plant in Varzob district.

It is noteworthy that the decision to build a new cement plant was made as part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, at the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on May 28, 2026, for the construction of 4 new cement plants with a total capacity of 6 million tons per year.

Thus, Dushanbe Cement Limited Liability Company decided to build and commission a new cement plant in the southern part of the village of Kharangoni Bolo on an area of 18 hectares within 17 months.

During the presentation of the project, it was reported that the production capacity of the enterprise will be 3,300 tons per day, and 1.2 million tons of cement per year, and the production process will consist of grinding to packaging the final product.

During the construction work, more than 1,150 local residents and foreign citizens will be involved in seasonal work, and after the enterprise is put into operation, more than 1,000 new jobs will be created for citizens.

The investor and builder of the enterprise is Dushanbe Cement Limited Liability Company. Taking into account modern production technology and raw materials used, the cement produced by the enterprise fully complies with the requirements of European and international norms and standards.

The construction of this enterprise is planned near the nearby deposits of limestone, magnetite and Kharangon soil, and the construction, import of machinery, technology, equipment and other necessary supplies will be carried out entirely with the involvement of domestic capital.

It should be noted that all production equipment and machinery comply with international standards, and environmental regulations and safety standards will be ensured during the production process.

The design, supply, installation, commissioning and production of all equipment will be carried out in accordance with the contract between Dushanbe Cement Limited Liability Company of the Republic of Tajikistan and SINOMA Company of the People's Republic of China.
