Attestation Review of the Department of War Counterdrug Program Fiscal Year 2026 Detailed Accounting Reports (Project No. D2027-D000FT-0001.000)

The purpose of this memorandum is to notify you that the Department of War Office of Inspector General (DoW OIG) is initiating the subject review.* We will perform this review to meet the reporting requirements of Public Law 105-277, "Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act of 1998," and the Office of National Drug Control Policy Circular "National Drug Control Program Agency Compliance Reviews," September 9, 2021. The Circular requires the DoW to provide detailed accounting reports to the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. The DoW OIG is required to authenticate the reports and express a conclusion about the reliability of the assertions made in the reports.
