Statement by Premier Lantz on International Women’s Day

Hon. Rob Lantz, Premier of Prince Edward Island, and Hon. Barb Ramsay, Minister responsible for the Status of Women, issued the following statement ahead of International Women's Day:

"International Women's Day, March 8, is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of women across Prince Edward Island and the many ways they strengthen our province.

Women lead in our communities, support their families, build businesses, and serve in roles across every sector of Island life. Their work, leadership, and advocacy continue to shape the future of our province.

It is also a time to reflect on the progress that has been made and the work that continues to ensure women and girls have the opportunities, support, and safety they deserve.

As Islanders mark International Women's Day, we encourage everyone to recognize the women whose leadership, dedication, and care help make our province stronger every day."
