Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Jiang Feng Meets with the Permanent Representative of Sudan to the African Union

On 10 December, H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with H.E. Amb. Elzein Ibrahim Hussein, Sudan's Permanent Representative to the AU.

Amb. Jiang provided an in-depth briefing on the important decision made by the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan. He stated that the people of China and Sudan are good friends and brothers who support each other through thick and thin. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1959, the two countries have always stood together through storm and stress and supported each other on issues concerning core interests. China firmly supports Sudan in safeguarding its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and stands ready to further deepen bilateral cooperation, strengthen communication and coordination on multilateral platforms such as the AU, and continue to promote the development of China-Sudan relations.

Amb. Elzein highly commended the great achievements made by China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and appreciated China's long-standing valuable support and humanitarian assistance to the Sudanese people, as well as its efforts to speak up for Sudan on the international stage. He noted that the friendship between Sudan and China is profound, and will maintain close contacts with the Chinese mission, to strengthen cooperation on platforms such as the AU, and jointly safeguard the common interests of the Global South.
