Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation is urging Congress to pass legislation that will avoid a government shutdown. American Farm Bureau Federation and several other agricultural organizations sent a letter to Congressional leadership urging the same. See below TFBF's statement and the letter.
"There's no question farmers in Tennessee are struggling in a way we haven't seen in decades, and adding a government shutdown only worsens the difficult position they are already in," said Tennessee Farm Bureau President Eric Mayberry. "We urge Congress and the administration to work to resolve this shutdown so that our farmers and rural communities have access to key programs and services to continue providing food, fiber and fuel for all Americans."
