The City of Lewisville, as part of its Centennial Celebration, has designated 10 local properties as Lewisville Landmarks.
The Lewisville Landmarks program is intended to recognize buildings of historical significance in Lewisville, with particular attention to houses in the Old Town Lewisville historic district, resulting in a marketable self-guided driving tour that enhances public awareness of Lewisville's history and expands the public telling of the Lewisville story.
The Centennial Historical Preservation Subcommittee received numerous applications, and assessed each entry based on building age, historical significance, cultural impact, architecture and aesthetic value, preservation status, level and quality of documentation, and public visibility.
The 10 new locations now join the original two locations - Prairie House Restaurant (formerly the Lewisville Feed Mill), and the former Huffines House on Main Street as Lewisville Landmarks.

Each location will receive a plaque to proudly proclaim their landmark status. A self-guided tour of all 12 Lewisville Landmark locations is currently being created and will be announced in October.
