York Woman Sentenced to Four Years in Prison for Her Role in Large Scale Cocaine Trafficking in York

HARRISBURG - The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Takquasha Beatty, age 31, of York, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on October 15, 2026, to four years in prison by United States District Judge Keli M. Neary for trafficking cocaine.

According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, a grand jury indicted Takquasha Beatty and others for their role in a conspiracy to traffic cocaine in York, Pennsylvania with kilograms of cocaine smuggled in from Puerto Rico into York. On March 15, 2023, law enforcement searched Beatty's home in York where they found cocaine hidden in a children's toy, a cash counting machine in the kitchen, $35,700 in cash, a digital scale for weighing drugs, a loaded gun, and other materials indicative of drug trafficking. Other locations linked to the drug trafficking conspiracy were searched the same day and similar evidence was recovered. Two weeks later, law enforcement intercepted 30 kilograms of cocaine shipped from Puerto Rico to York, destined for this same drug trafficking group.

At sentencing, Judge Neary emphasized the seriousness of the crime and the scope of the drug trafficking conspiracy. When imposing sentence, Judge Neary also emphasized that Beatty allowed this drug trafficking to happen in her home where her four small children lived. In March 2026, Beatty pled guilty to conspiracy to trafficking cocaine.

Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) is the Department of Justice's nationwide initiative that brings federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement, prosecutors, and other public safety partners together to coordinate efforts to combat violent crime and make communities safe. Coordinated by U.S. Attorneys' offices in each of the 94 federal districts, PSN is tailored to particular communities to strategically address specific violent crime and public safety challenges. As a key component of Operation Take Back America, PSN serves a central role in the Department's commitment to make our country safe. PSN emphasizes three core principles: rapid federal response to violent crime and criminal offenders; strong, strategic partnerships among law enforcement at all levels; and accountability and deterrence through the prosecution of the most serious, readily provable offenses and other strategies. These efforts complement and strengthen President Trump's Homeland Security Task Forces, ensuring a comprehensive federal response to the most pressing public safety issues facing communities.
