Walker County Local Government Services Building to Reopen Monday, April 27

The Walker County Local Government Services building, located at 122 Highway 95 in Rock Spring, will reopen to the public with all services available on Monday, April 27th. A pipe burst last week causing water damage throughout the lower level of the building.

When the Tax Commissioners office reopens Monday, there will be limited public space. Despite that constraint, all tag and tax services will be available.

The Local Government Services building houses the tag and tax office, the assessors office, planning and zoning, and codes enforcement departments. The planning office and assessors office are currently open with limited public space.

The Tax Commissioner's office in Rossville, which offered extended hours this week, resume its regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24th.
