Community Budget Workshop on March 25 / Taller sobre el presupuesto comunitario el 25 de marzo
Join us for a Community Budget Workshop on Wednesday, March 25, 6pm at Novato City Hall (901 Sherman Avenue) to help develop the City's budget for the next fiscal year. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the City's budget, ask questions and share your feedback.
Each June, the City adopts its budget for the upcoming fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to June 30. The budget, while a financial document, is also an important policy document, outlining the City Council's priorities for the upcoming fiscal year and showing where City funds will be allocated to support services and programs.
Last year, Novato reached a major milestone with the adoption of the City's first balanced budget in more than five years. Thanks to the community's support of Measure M, the City has been able to deliver on its commitment to restore essential services, strengthen public safety and invest in critical infrastructure.

El presupuesto, si bien es un documento financiero, es también un importante documento político, ya que en él se esbozan las prioridades de la municipalidad para el próximo ejercicio fiscal y se indica a qué se destinarán los fondos municipales.
El año pasado, Novato alcanzó un punto clave con la adopción del primer presupuesto equilibrado de la ciudad en más de cinco años. Gracias al apoyo de la comunidad a la Medida M, la ciudad ha podido lograr su cometido de restaurar servicios esenciales, reforzar la seguridad pública e invertir en infraestructura clave.
