Novian supports the Flaming Shield ’26 defence technology hackathon

The Novian IT group is supporting the Flaming Shield '26 defence technology hackathon, taking place in Kaunas on 9-11 October 2026. The group's contribution includes mentoring by its specialists and a special prize for one of the participating teams.

Organised by the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union and Tech-Park Kaunas, the hackathon brings together technology developers and representatives from business, academia and the defence community. This year's mission, "Defend the Sky", challenges participants to develop and test solutions that strengthen airspace surveillance, protection and defence.

Arūnas Ungulaitis from Novian Pro and Arimantas Stašaitis from Novian Technologies are joining the event's mentoring team. Drawing on their practical experience, they will help participants address technical challenges, assess the feasibility of their ideas and refine their prototypes.

One of the participating teams will receive a special Novian prize. Through its support and technical expertise, the group aims to contribute to the development of technologies that address current security and defence challenges.
