2025 Distinguished Graduate Student Award winners announced

The Graduate College has announced the recipients of the 2025 Distinguished Graduate Student Awards, which recognize outstanding scholarship, research and innovation by graduate students across the university.

The awards honor graduate students who completed exemplary dissertations, theses and projects between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. They highlight the accomplishments of Boise State's graduate students while also celebrating the mentorship and support of graduate faculty.

This year's recipients are:

  • Kaelee Novich, materials science and engineering, PhD - Distinguished Doctoral Scholarship
  • Jessica Buster, public health, MPH - Distinguished Master's Thesis and Project Award in STEM fields
  • Jet Taylor, kinesiology, MSK - Distinguished Master's Thesis and Project Award in humanities and social sciences
  • Addie Lupercio, materials science and engineering, PhD - Innovation in Technology Award

The master's award winners will go on to represent Boise State at the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS)-ProQuest Distinguished Master's Thesis Awards.

"The WAGS-ProQuest Distinguished Thesis Awards represent the most prestigious recognition for graduate scholarship in the western United States," said Scott Lowe, dean of the Graduate College. "We are incredibly proud of Boise State's nominees and winners, whose achievements exemplify the innovative, trailblazing research taking place in our graduate programs."
