Freight Train Services Link Sichuan and Guangdong, Efficiently Connecting the Unified Market

In the opening year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, the country is actively expanding international logistics and trade cooperation through the "train services plus" model. International freight train services such as CRE train services continue to innovate, effectively linking Asian and European markets and promoting cross-border economic and trade exchanges.

At present, Chengxiang Railway Station has launched multiple domestic freight train services to multiple domestic destinations including Shanghai, Wuhan and the Chengdu-Panzhihua-Yunnan region, as well as CRE train and China-Central Asia train services. Beyond the Chengdu-Chongqing region, multiple fast logistics freight train services are now operating among major economic regions such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In 2025, the freight volume of national railway freight train services increased by 24.5% year on year. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, a number of freight corridors, including the Huangtong-Baise Railway and the Pinglu Canal, will be completed, further accelerating the development of multimodal transport.
