AHN Saint Vincent Celebrates Advanced Practice Provider Week and Honors Two Outstanding Physician Assistants

Erie, PA (September 24, 2026) - AHN Saint Vincent Hospital celebrated National Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Week today on its campus, highlighting the exceptional clinical expertise and dedication of its APP healthcare professionals.

As a highlight of this year's local observances, AHN Saint Vincent honored two distinguished Physician Assistants at a ceremony in the hospital's McGarvey Learning Center. Jerry Thomas, PA-C, and Jordyn Astorino, PA-C, were named as the hospital's 2026 Outstanding APPs. Jerry is part of the care team at AHN Neurosurgery and Jordyn provides care to patients at Westminster Family Medicine.

In recognition of their commitment to both their patients and the greater Erie community, AHN Saint Vincent will also make a $500 charitable donation on behalf of each honoree to two non-profit organizations of their choice. Jordyn chose Children's Miracle Network for her charity, while Jerry chose Erie's Make-A-Wish organization.

The ceremony was followed by a special celebratory lunch for all the hospital's APPs.

"APPs, including Physician Assistants and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners, play an integral role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across AHN," said AHN Saint Vincent President, Dr. Chris Clark. "We salute all of them and are particularly proud to pay a special tribute to two of our most outstanding PAs."
