Golden Gate Transit & Ferry service changes in April are the result of a collaborative effort between nine transit and funding agencies to create a more connected, frequent transit network in the Highway 101 corridor.
The Marin-Sonoma Coordinated Transit Service (MASCOTS) Plan was created to grow ridership and improve effectiveness of public transit services offered in the Highway 101 corridor.
Please use the tools below to get familiar with the changes and to plan your travel after the new schedules go live on April 12, 2026. Sign up for alerts to make sure you don't miss anything! Note, If you are already signed up for Route 150 or Route 130 alerts, you will be automatically signed up for the new Route 120 alerts.

Effective April 12, 2026, some areas will see more significant changes than others. The below chart provides a high-level look into the best options for traveling on Golden Gate based on your area.

Golden Gate Transit buses take two different paths when traveling through San Francisco:
Not every stop in Marin County or Sonoma County is served by both paths. If you need to switch between them, you can transfer easily at the Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza or at Richardson & Francisco.
Transfers are free, and buses on both paths run often-about every 10 minutes or better during busy travel times.
Effective April 12, 2026, there will be more than 40 southbound weekday connections between Golden Gate & SMART for your Monday through Friday commute. Click on the image below to enlarge, download, and/or print.

Fare Increase
Most Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry fares will increase by $.25 on July 1, 2026. Check back for updated fare tables.
