City of Southfield to Host Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony December 2

The City of Southfield Parks & Recreation Department will kick off the holiday season with the annual Southfield Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 2, from 6-8 p.m. on the front lawn of the Southfield Municipal Campus, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a welcome from Mayor Kenson Siver and city officials, followed by the arrival of Santa, escorted by the Southfield A&T High School Marching Band, to officially light the city tree.

After the lighting, families are invited to stay and enjoy a variety of festive activities including a petting zoo, ice carving demonstrations, live entertainment, take-and-make crafts for kids, cookies and hot chocolate served in front of City Hall. Santa will be greeting children and hearing holiday wishes inside the Southfield Pavilion this year-so don't forget to bring your list!
