Bellflower Looking Better Just Got Better: Now Offered Once a Year
The Bellflower Looking Better Program is expanding in 2026 with updated guidelines and enhanced services. This long-running residential improvement initiative supports community beautification by organizing neighborhood yard sales and providing convenient trash dumpsters to help residents clear unwanted items from their properties.
Residents interested in participating in the community yard sale must pre-register. Yard sales will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. within each neighborhood's designated boundaries. To help boost participation, the City will promote the event with yard sale signage and social media advertising. Community members are also encouraged to visit Area 7 on Oct. 10 and shop the participating neighborhood yard sales.
On the Saturday following each yard sale, free dumpsters will be available for residents to dispose of leftover items. Please note that hazardous materials, electronic waste, tires, oil and construction debris are not accepted in the dumpsters.
