Natural gas and electricity prices for households higher
In the 2nd quarter natural gas prices for households increased by 3% and for non-households decreased by one tenth. Electricity prices also went up for households (by 18%) and down (by 14%) for non-households.

Natural gas and electricity prices for household consumers decreased
The average natural gas price for household consumers in Slovenia increased by 3% in 2nd quarter and was 0.087 EUR/kWh. In the same period the average natural gas price without value added tax for non-household consumers decreased by 10% and was 0.054 EUR/kWh.
The average electricity price for household consumers in Slovenia was 0.196 EUR/kWh, which is a 18% increase over the previous quarter. In the same period the average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers decreased by 14% and was 0.138 EUR/kWh.
Natural gas and electricity prices in the second half of 2024 lower than the EU-27 average
The international comparison of natural gas prices for the second half of 2024 shows that in Slovenia the price with all taxes for household consumers (20-200 GJ or 5,556-55,556 kWh annual consumption) represented 74% of the EU-27 average and for non-household consumers without VAT (10,000-100,000 GJ or 2,777,778-27,777,778 kWh annual consumption) 93% of this average.
In the same period the electricity price with all taxes for household consumers (2,500-5,000 kWh annual consumption) represented 70% of the EU-27 average and for non-household consumers without VAT (500-2,000 MWh annual consumption) 95% of the EU-27 average.
