Celebrate Fourth of July on Main Street and Tongva Park

July 2, 2026 10:51 AM

Santa Monica, Calif. (July 2, 2026) - The annual Santa Monica Fourth of July Parade is reversing course this year, to coincide with a new city after-party to continue the Independence Day celebration in Tongva Park.

The annual parade, put on by the Ocean Park Association, will begin at Marine Street at 9:30 a.m. and travel north on Main Street, concluding at Pico Boulevard. This year's theme is multi-pronged, celebrating the vibrant artistic spirit of the community as well as the 100th Anniversary of Route 66 and America's 250th birthday.

After the parade, participants, spectators, and the community are encouraged to continue the celebration at Pulse in the Park, the city's first-ever official after-party in Tongva Park from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to all.

Pulse in the Park will feature food from Level Up Burgers and Ubatuba, a beer garden, face painting, a photo booth, family-friendly activities in partnership with Santa Monica Family YMCA, live DJ sets, dance performances, and live music from The Jane Fondas. Make sure to stop by and make it part of your Independence Day festivities!

Santa Monica reminds residents to celebrate safely and responsibly - all fireworks are illegal in Santa Monica. For more information on these and future events, visit santamonica.gov.
