Citizens asked to provide information on wasted moose near Elk River

Idaho Fish and Game conservation officers are seeking information about a bull moose that was killed the evening of Sept. 14 or early morning of Sept. 15 near the Elmberry Creek/Gold Creek area east of Elk River in Unit 10A.

A small amount of meat and the head were removed from the moose, while the majority of the meat was left to waste.

Fish and Game is asking anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward. Anyone with information can call the Clearwater Regional Office at 208-599-5010 or the Citizens Against Poaching Hotline at 1-800-632-5999.

Callers can remain anonymous when reporting wildlife violations and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to a citation for a wildlife crime.
