Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN Hou Yanqi Attends the 23rd Meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) Plus Three

On September 25, 2025, Ambassador Hou Yanqi attended the 23rd Meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) Plus Three.

Ambassador Hou stressed that the positive momentum of economic and trade cooperation among regional countries contributes to regional integration. Faced with emerging global challenges, President Xi Jinping put forward the Global Governance Initiative, advocating core concepts including sovereign equality, international rule of law, multilateralism, people-centered approach and taking real actions. China is willing to work with ASEAN Plus Three (APT) countries to improve global governance, enhance resilience of industrial and supply chains, deepen exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, finance, food security, people-to-people exchanges, and emerging fields including digital economy, providing new impetus for regional prosperity and stability.

All representatives commended the positive progress of APT cooperation and reaffirmed commitment to implementing the APT Cooperation Work Plan (2023-2027), strengthening practical cooperation across various fields, and enhancing regional resilience and integration.
