Issues of Promoting IT Diplomacy Discussed

On September 11, 2026, a videoconference meeting was held under the leadership of Mirvokhid Azimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Ayubkhon Sultanov, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies, with the participation of heads of Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions abroad, the leadership of the Enterprise Uzbekistan International Digital Technology Center, and directors of IT Park Uzbekistan regional offices.

The meeting discussed issues related to the development of Uzbekistan's IT ecosystem, expanding the geographical reach of digital services exports, and strengthening international cooperation in the area of "IT diplomacy". The participants also exchanged views on expanding opportunities for IT, BPO and KPO companies and startups to enter foreign markets, attracting foreign investment, studying advanced international experience, and promoting Uzbekistan's potential at prominent international IT platforms, including ICT Week Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was paid to the development of the "IT diplomacy" concept with a view to establishing systematic activities in this area.
