La Universitat de Barcelona dibuixada (2026), with texts by Ramon Dilla and illustrations by Raúl Deamo, offers a visual and narrative journey through the institution's most emblematic spaces, relating its architectural heritage, academic life and collective memory in the context of its 575th anniversary. Establishing a dialogue between image and words, University of Barcelona Editions publishes one of the most unique works in its catalogue: nearly 50 illustrations by Raúl Deamo which, accompanied by Ramon Dilla's lively and curiosity-filled narrative, provide the appropriate context for getting to know the UB's sites, campuses and academic fabric.

The UB is distinguished by keeping alive a heritage of high architectural, cultural and human value, in an area that stretches from the centre of the Catalan capital to the Llobregat and the Besòs, that is, from the Bellvitge Campus to the Torribera Campus. With settings as emblematic as the Historic Building, and as rich and diverse as its 17 faculties, and including highly symbolic locations such as the Güell Pavilions or the Palau de les Heures, among others, the book traces the various campuses while charting a historical journey through the spaces where the institution operates. Can Canela, the High Mountain Research Station in Viella, the oceanographic vessel Caribdis and the Oxyrhynchium site complete the scenic scope of this ensemble of science and culture. The book, which also includes texts in Spanish and English, invites you to take a leisurely and detailed tour of each of these places.

Through the pages of this work, which evoke the illustrator's original sketchbook, one can discover spaces that open up to the public and help preserve the individual and collective memory of a century-old institution. Raúl Deamo's creations, in watercolour and pencil, are reproduced in great detail to capture every subtlety, in some cases in double-page spreads.

The book, by Ramon Dilla and Raúl Deamo, combines nearly 50 illustrations and texts, and will be presented on 7 April at the Alibri bookshop as part of the 575th anniversary celebrations.

The tandem of an illustrator and an art historian brings a human and emotional visual perspective to a context marked by the proliferation of ultra-realistic images generated by artificial intelligence. Each of the buildings and spaces has been drawn on site at different times of the year, incorporating the presence of the people who inhabit them, in an explicit tribute to the university community.

With a foreword by the Rector, La Universitat de Barcelona Dibuixada is presented as "a benchmark of commitment and affection for the institution".

The book, which is part of the History of the UB collection, will be presented on Tuesday 7 April at 6.30 p.m. at the Alibri bookshop.

El llibre, que forma part de la col·lecció Història de la UB, es presentarà el dimarts 7 d'abril, a les 18:30, a la llibreria Alibri.<_o3a_p>
