Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has received an application for the following development:

APPLICANT: Department of Transportation and Public Facilities

PROJECT NAME: ADL 234939

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Milepost 14.5 to 16.7 of the Old Glenn Highway, Palmer, Alaska

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 34 and Section 35 of Township 18 North, Range 2 East, Seward Meridian and Section 2 and Section 11 of Township 17 North, Range 2 East, Seward Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant has requested an additional right-of-way to complement the existing right-of-way for the Old Glenn Highway between Milepost 14.5 to 16.7 on DMLW-managed submerged lands. The requested development is approximately 11,384 in length and 250 feet in width for a total of 65.4 acres, more or less. The purpose of the proposed development is to place riprap to protect the highway from bank loss and channel changes that have occurred between the Matanuska River Bridge and Maud Road. The easement, if approved, may differ from that described herein.

REQUESTED TERM: Indefinite

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 30, 2026
