City of Peoria to Host Three Free, Family-Friendly Halloween Events

PEORIA, IL (October 14, 2025) The city of Peoria is hosting three free, family-friendly trick-or-treat events in October: Trash-or-Treat, City Hall-O-Ween, and Trick-or-Treat PPD Halloween: A Night of Magic and Mischief.

Trash-Or-Treat: Saturday, October 18 | 9 a.m.-11 a.m.

Join city staff and community volunteers for a neighborhood litter cleanup and be rewarded with treats! Costumes are welcomed for this family-friendly event.

Meet Community Development staff at the corner of Main and University Streets at the Campustown Shopping Center, 1200 W. Main Street, Peoria, IL 61606. City staff will provide trash bags, gloves, and a limited supply of grabbers. Volunteers will be rewarded for their hard work with Halloween treats.

City Hall-O-Ween: Friday, October 24 | 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m.

Join us for the sixth annual City Hall-O-Ween. Everyone is welcome to join the fun at Peoria City Hall, 419 Fulton Street, Peoria, IL 61602.

City Hall will be decorated and staff will hand out Halloween treats to attendees. This is a great opportunity to meet the people who provide services to the Peoria community every day and explore Peoria's historic City Hall.
