The UAA School of Social Work will offer free peer-centered Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) crisis response simulation training on Aug. 31.
The UAA School Of Social Work, in collaboration with the Interprofessional Health Sciences Simulation Center, with support from the Alaska Department of Health, Behavioral Health, has developed a simulation-based training activity designed to better prepare peer professionals and other members of crisis response teams to effectively respond to opioid-related crises.
The goal is to strengthen understanding of the peer professional's role in crisis response and provide meaningful practice in real-life OUD scenarios.
Attendees with receive 3 contact hoursapproved by the Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health. Seats are limited to 16 participants. Questions may be directed to Morgan Cruz Erisman at [email protected].
