WORCESTER, Mass. - The City of Worcester announced Wednesday updates related to traffic, parking, and security measures for the four "Game on Worcester" events that will broadcast FIFA World CupTM games on the Worcester Common.
The following streets will be closed one to two hours before event start time:
Closures will begin at 3 p.m. this Saturday, June 13, and subsequent closure times will be announced prior to each event. Roads are expected to reopen 30-45 minutes following the conclusion of each event. Motorists are asked to plan accordingly.
Visitors who plan to drive to the events are encouraged to use the following nearby parking garages:
Roadblocks and recommended parking garages are labeled on the attached map.
Attendees should also be aware that bags may be subject to search, and alcohol must be purchased on site and be consumed within the designated area. They are also asked to take any necessary precautions in case of high temperatures or humidity. Any additional security advisories or weather updates will be posted on worcesterma.gov and the municipality's social media channels.
