PT TIMAH Shares Ramadan Joy, Provides Aid to 150 Orphans in West Bangka

WEST BANGKA -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk used the momentum of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri to share happiness with the community by providing social assistance.

Through the Safari Ramadan activity held at the Division Processing and Refinery in Mentok, West Bangka Regency, PT TIMAH once again distributed aid to orphans in the surrounding operational areas.

A total of 150 orphans in Mentok District received assistance from PT TIMAH as a form of the company's social concern during this blessed month. The aid was symbolically handed over by members of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of PT TIMAH as part of the Safari Ramadan series of activities on Wednesday (March 4, 2026).

This activity is part of PT TIMAH's commitment to continue sharing happiness while strengthening its relationship with communities around the company's operational areas.

One of the aid recipients, Indra (11), a student at the Aisyah Orphanage in Mentok, said he was happy to receive the assistance. He mentioned that he plans to save the money he received.

"I'm very happy to receive this assistance from PT TIMAH. This is not the first time we have received support. I will save the money for now. Thank you, PT TIMAH, for your concern," said Indra with a happy face.

Another orphan, Kasih, also expressed pride in PT TIMAH's attention toward them. She even hopes to one day become part of the company.

"Every Ramadan before Eid al-Fitr, PT TIMAH always shares its blessings with us at the orphanage. We are very happy. Hopefully one day I can work at PT TIMAH," she said.

The caretaker of Aisyah Orphanage in Mentok, Eti Kusumawati, expressed her appreciation for PT TIMAH's support, noting that the company has often helped the children at the orphanage.

According to her, this Ramadan a total of 38 children from Aisyah Orphanage received assistance from PT TIMAH.

"Alhamdulillah, the children are very happy to receive this aid. PT TIMAH is one of the companies that frequently helps our orphanage. Every time we submit a proposal, it is always responded to positively," she explained.

She also prayed for PT TIMAH's continued growth so that it can keep providing benefits to the community.

"On behalf of Aisyah Orphanage, we would like to express our gratitude to PT TIMAH. May the company continue to grow and achieve greater success," she added. (*)
