LPC's Customer Services Receival and Delivery teams have visited key customers and industry sites across the Canterbury region to better understand their needs.
Abbey Clapp, Head of Customer Delivery, says she is proud of the impact of these visits, with customers sharing positive feedback about the team's support and responsiveness.
"Hearing directly from our customers provides insights we simply can't get from behind a desk," said Abbey.
The Receival and Delivery teams manage the container movements via VBS across all three LPC sites and the car imports.
Team members have visited Talley's in Ashburton, Fairfield Freight Hub, and Synlait in Dunsandel.
"It allows us to see their challenges and opportunities from their perspective; this, in turn, helps us tailor our support, improve our processes, and deliver on our commitment to excellent service," she added.
During their visit to Synlait, the team toured laboratories and formula canning lines, observing robots stacking freshly dried milk powder bags onto pallets for storage.
At Fairfield Freight Hub, they viewed rail wagon logistics and the intricate processes involved in their setup.
Talley's hosted a tour of the main building, during which the group explored the company's potato storage facilities and new areas being prepared for processing peas, carrots, and corn.
"Initiatives like this are a key part of building stronger partnerships and ensuring our customers know we're here to help," said Abbey.
