House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Education Performance Metrics and Workforce Stability to Hold Fourth Meeting in Fitzgerald

ATLANTA - The House Study Committee on Education Performance Metrics and Workforce Stability, chaired by State Representative Bethany Ballard (R-Warner Robins), will hold its fourth meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Ben Hill County Schools in Fitzgerald, Ga.

During the meeting, members of the study committee will hear testimony from Ben Hill and Toombs County School officials. They will also hear testimony about teacher retention and issues in early childhood education, as well as hear from the Georgia Childcare Association, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and the Georgia Association of Educators.

The House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Education Performance Metrics and Workforce Stability will evaluate Georgia's education evaluation measures to strengthen accountability, improve student success and strengthen teacher recruitment and retention.
