EVANSTON, Ill. --- Northwestern is asking for the community's help in locating School of Communication Professor Nina Kraus, who was reported missing by her family earlier today - on Monday, Sept. 1. She was last seen leaving her home on the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue in Evanston around 9 a.m. Monday morning.

The Evanston Police Department is leading the search for Professor Kraus, with Northwestern University Police Department assisting.

Anyone with information on Professor Kraus' whereabouts is asked to contact the Evanston Police Department at 847-866-5000.

The University is hopeful that with the community's help, we can find Professor Kraus and assure her safety.

Northwestern will provide updates when they become available.
