Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin Attends the Reception Commemorating the Independence & National Day of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh

On March 26, 2026, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin, upon invitation, attended the reception commemorating the Independence & National Day of the People's Republic of Bangladesh held by the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Beijing, China.

Liu Bin extended congratulations on Bangladesh's 55th anniversary of independence, stating that China and Bangladesh are traditional friendly neighbors and comprehensive strategic cooperative partners. China has always placed Bangladesh in an important position in its neighborhood diplomacy, and remains committed to developing good-neighborly and friendly relations with Bangladesh on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. China congratulates Bangladesh on the smooth and successful completion of its general election, and is willing to strengthen strategic alignment with the new Bangladeshi government, advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, enhance coordination and collaboration in international and regional affairs, and promote greater progress in bilateral relations across all fields.

‌Ambassador of Bangladesh to China Md. Nazmul Islam stated that Bangladesh and China have long maintained a friendly relationship. China is Bangladesh's largest trading partner, and Bangladesh looks forward to further strengthening bilateral trade and investment exchanges, welcoming more Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Bangladesh. The new Bangladeshi government is willing to closely cooperate with China at all levels to push Bangladesh-China relations to a new stage.
