Nearly 100 Affordable Homes Preserved for Low-Income, Farmworker Famlies in Grant County, WA

A few days ago, Catholic Charities Housing Services (CCHS) led the Grant County Preservation Celebration in Grant County, Washington. This important affordable housing preservation initiative helps ensure families continue to have access to safe and stable homes for years to come.

The effort includes the rehabilitation and preservation of 95 affordable homes across the La Amistad Apartments, Villa Santa Maria Apartments, and Quincy Manor. In total, the developments include 93 income-restricted units for households earning 30%, 40%, and 50% of the area median income (AMI). Of the units, 73 homes serve farmworker families.

Each property underwent critical improvements to create healthier, safer living environments while preserving long-term affordability showcasing how community development and affordable housing can strengthen neighborhoods, reduce housing instability and help families remain rooted in their communities. By protecting these homes, the Grant County Preservation initiative strengthens opportunities for residents who need them most.
