HRSA awards $7 million in grants for efforts to improve maternal and child health outcomes in rural areas

The Health Resources and Services Administration has awarded approximately $7 million in grants to seven recipients in the fiscal year 2026 cohort of its Rural Maternity and Obstetrics Management Strategies Program. The funds will go toward efforts to improve health outcomes for mothers and infants in rural communities. RMOMS assist communities with care coordination, expanding access to specialty care and telehealth, and developing sustainable models for providing obstetric services in rural areas.
