"Liberation" by Bess Wohl won the 2026 Tony Award for Best Play.

George Washington University alumni Eva Price, B.A. '00, and Jenna Segal, B.A. '98, received Tony Awards as producers of "Liberation," which won the award for Best Play. Price served as lead producer, while Segal was a co-producer on the production.

The award-winning play tells a story across two time periods, following a group of women who form a consciousness-raising group in 1970s Ohio and the daughters who later uncover their mothers' history in an effort to understand their unfinished revolution.
