On March 31, Consul General Qin Jie attended and addressed the China-India Business Dialogue in Pune.
Qin Jie stated that under the strategic guidance of Chinese and Indian leaders, bilateral relations continue to improve, with economic and trade cooperation maintaining a positive momentum. Bilateral trade volume reached $155.6 billion in 2025. As India and China assume the roles of BRICS chair this year and next, both sides should uphold a correct understanding, steer the relationship in the right direction, demonstrate a sense of responsibility, and promote common development as well as world peace and stability. China's 15th Five-Year Plan emphasizes advancing high-quality development and expanding high-standard opening up over the next five years. He expressed hope that the business communities of both countries would seize opportunities to make the "pie" of cooperation bigger, injecting new momentum into China-India friendship.
The dialogue was hosted by the Sakal Media Group and attended by around 20 Chinese and Indian enterprises.
