Honigman recently advised Lannett Company, Inc., a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical products, on its acquisition by Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc. Following approval from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission on June 18, 2026, the $250 million transaction closed on June 29, 2026.

Founded in 1942, Lannett is a Pennsylvania-based generic pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of complex, non-opioid controlled substances. Lannett's Indiana manufacturing facility has capacity to produce nearly 4 billion doses annually. The buyer is a subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma Limited, a multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Hyderabad, India operating in over 150 countries.
