Oly on Ice is back! The 2025-26 season runs November 21, 2025 - January 19, 2026. Join us for winter fun at the rink at Isthmus Park in downtown Olympia. Tickets and Season Passes are on sale now at olyonice.com.

The Rebecca Howard Park Development Plan is here!
The Park Development Plan is rich with inspiring images, creative ideas, and powerful stories highlighting the challenges and achievements of Olympia's Black community. It outlines detailed designs for Rebecca Howard Park-covering planting, paving, pathways, structures, seating, art opportunities, and technical memos on stormwater, parking, and cost estimates. The plan also documents community engagement and feedback from the steering committee and residents. Review the document on Engage Olympia and take the quick one-question survey to share any final thoughts.

Job Opportunity - Lead Preschool Instructor
We are hiring a Lead Preschool Instructor to plan and lead our Preschool by the Bay classes for children ages 3-5. This part-time position is up to 69 hours per month at $20/hr DOE, with flexible prep time. Minimum requirements include at least 2 years of experience or training in early childhood education and current First Aid and infant/child CPR certification. Open until filled.

Artist Opportunities for 2026
We're closing out the 2025 season with two exciting calls for artists! Apply for the 2026 Arts Walk Cover Art Commission (open through Nov. 17) for a chance to design next year's cover and earn $750. Sculpture artists can also submit work for the 2026 Percival Plinth Project (open through Jan. 5, 2026), offering a $1,000 honorarium and a chance to win the People's Prize purchase award up to $10,000.

New StoryTrail!
A new Storytrail is up at Squaxin Park! In partnership with the Olympia Timberland Regional Library, you can now enjoy 1, 2, 3 Salish Sea by local author Nikki McClure along the trail to the beach near Shelter 2.

Volunteer Opportunities
Join us for an upcoming Parks Stewardship Volunteer Opportunity! Tools, gloves, and light refreshments provided. Youth under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Learn more or sign up at Volunteer Olympia.
