Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations delivers keynote address at the "APFSD Youth Forum Regional Call to Action 2026"

On 25 February 2026, Ms. Cataleya Phatoomros, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, delivered the keynote address at the "APFSD Youth Forum Regional Call to Action 2026" side-event organized by the Asian-Pacific Resource & Research Centre for Women (ARROW) during the 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development at the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok.

The Deputy Director-General emphasized the important role of youths as key agents of change, especially in advancing sustainable development through the localization of the SDGs and adopting a people-centred approach to achieve a real and lasting impact. She also informed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the SDGs Youth Forum in 2025, together with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and UNICEF Thailand, to provide a platform to enhance knowledge and understanding of the SDGs among youths, as well as to provide a forum for youths to exchange views and present their vision on sustainable development and the SDGs. The inputs from youth participants at that Forum will inform the drafting of Thailand's next informal Voluntary National Review on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which will focus on youths.
