Accelerating Payouts for Homeowners

Tampa, FL (August 19, 2026) - iink, the leading platform for streamlining and digitizing property insurance claim payments, today announced a groundbreaking partnership with SWBC, a diversified financial services company known for delivering innovative solutions and exceptional customer service to the mortgage servicing industry. Through this collaboration, SWBC will offer its clients and their customers the ability to opt in to using the iink platform to digitally endorse insurance claim checks uploaded by homeowners, eliminating the need for physical mailing and manual handling.

Previously, homeowners receiving insurance settlement checks requiring endorsement from a mortgage servicer represented by SWBC had to mail those checks to an SWBC processing center, requiring multiple handling and processing steps before funds could be distributed. Now, through iink, homeowners can simply take secure images of the front and back of their paper checks - similar to mobile check deposit in banking apps - and upload them directly into the platform for immediate digital endorsement on qualified checks by SWBC. Early results from the platform show a median time-to-funds of approximately two days, reflecting a 12x to 20x improvement in processing efficiency that helps homeowners access funds and begin repairs dramatically faster.

Additionally, iink provides an automated portal to streamline the submission of documents, inspection requests, tracking, and release of claim check funds for both servicers and property owners.

Benefits of the New Process

  • Faster Payouts - Claim funds can now be released within 1-3 days, helping homeowners repair and restore their properties sooner.
  • Reduced Costs - SWBC can fully automate the loss draft process through iink, eliminating costly physical handling and return shipping, while reducing inbound support inquiries through a simple and automated loss draft portal.
  • Enhanced Security - Digital remittance ensures verified payees, prevents loss or theft, and eliminates the risk of misappropriated funds.
  • Elevated Customer Experience - Homeowners benefit from a faster, more transparent, and more secure claims payment process.
  • Market Leadership - Positions iink as the only solution currently able to fully digitize the loss draft process for multi-party P&C insurance claim disbursements regardless of payment modality; check, eCheck, ACH, RTP, etc.

"This partnership with SWBC is a giant leap toward our vision of eliminating the paper check from the insurance claims process entirely," said Tom McGrath, co-founder & CSO of iink. "By digitizing and securing the flow of insurance funds, we are helping homeowners, public adjusters, contractors, and attorneys get paid faster, repair homes sooner, and restore normalcy to families' lives more quickly. It's a win for every stakeholder in the process."

"Recovering from a property loss can be overwhelming, and every step we take to simplify that journey matters," said Michelle Cesar, Senior Vice President of Insurance Operations for SWBC's Financial Institution Group. "Through our partnership with iink, we're modernizing a traditionally manual process, helping clients protect assets while providing homeowners with a faster, more secure path to recovery." Together, iink and SWBC are setting a new standard for how the mortgage servicing industry manages insurance proceeds, making it easier for homeowners to navigate recovery and rebuild faster after loss.
