Dentons advises Affidea on landmark healthcare transaction in Hungary

Budapest-Dentons advised Affidea - a pan-European diagnostic imaging and specialist outpatient healthcare services provider operating 420 centres across 14 countries - on the successful sale of its Hungarian subsidiary, Affidea Magyarország Kft., to Medicare, Hungary's leading private healthcare group.

Affidea delivers internationally benchmarked, personalized care through its growing network of polyclinics to patients, private health insurers, and doctors alike.

Medicare has been present in Hungary since 1998, offering comprehensive outpatient care across almost 40 specialties through its hospitals and clinics in Budapest and nationwide, serving close to 400,000 clients through both corporate and individual insurance arrangements.

The transaction closed on 4 May 2026 and represents one of the largest deals on the Hungarian private healthcare services market in over two decades.
