HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, the week of October 12, resurfacing operations will continue on the remaining disconnected sections of U.S. Routes 61 Outer Road in Lincoln County. Contractor crews will move to complete the following outer road segments:
Operations began in August near the St. Charles County line and moved north as work progressed. The following segments have already been completed:
Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working for the duration of the project. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
The $686,2275 contract was awarded to Magruder Paving, LLC of Troy, Mo. All work is expected to be completed by November 2026.
